- เมืองมีความปลอดภัยมากขึ้นจากการที่บุคลากรมีประสิทธิภาพในการระงับเหตุสาธารณภัยและอัคคีภัย

ปัจจุบัน กทม. ได้มีการอนุมัติงบประมาณและเริ่มต้นการก่อสร้างศูนย์ฝึกอบรมดับเพลิงและกู้ภัย กทม. ที่อำเภอสามพราน จังหวัดนครปฐม ไปเมื่อปลายปี พ.ศ. 2564 เพื่อเป็นการพัฒนาให้ศูนย์ฝึกอบรมดับเพลิงและกู้ภัย ให้ประโยชน์สูงสุดกับงานป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร
กทม.จึงต้องมีบทบาทดังนี้
1. ผลักดันให้ตัวโครงการก่อสร้างสำเร็จตามแผนการ
2. เตรียมความพร้อมด้านบุคคลากร และทรัพยากรการฝึก ทั้งครูฝึก เจ้าหน้าที่ เครื่องมืออุปกรณ์ต่าง ๆ ให้มีความพร้อม ได้มาตรฐานสากล
3. หลักสูตร และสิ่งแวดล้อมในการฝึกฝนของศูนย์ฝึกต้องควบคุมให้ตอบสนองต่อความหลากหลาย ครอบคลุม สาธารณภัยรูปแบบต่าง ๆ
4. ผลักดันให้ศูนย์ฝึกฯ นั้นพร้อมสำหรับหลักสูตรการฝึกฝนหลากหลายระดับ ทั้งเจ้าหน้าที่ของสำนักป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย อาสาสมัครป้องกันภัยฝ่ายพลเรือน (อปพร.) อาสาสมัครกู้ภัยในพื้นที่ กทม. ให้ทั้งเจ้าหน้าที่ และอาสาสมัครสามารถที่จะได้รับการฝึกฝน ทบทวนทักษะ บ่อยขึ้น เชี่ยวชาญและคุ้นชินกับสถานการณ์ที่มีรูปแบบหลากหลายมากขึ้น

Currently, the BMA has granted the budget for the establishment of Disaster Mitigation Training Center (ศูนย์ฝึกอบรมดับเพลิงและกู้ภัย กทม. ที่อำเภอสามพราน จังหวัดนครปฐม), and the construction of the training center for disaster mitigation and firefighting has already begun since late 2021, as an attempt to develop disaster mitigation and firefighting works in Bangkok.
In order to achieve this, the BMA will:
1. Ensure that the construction will be completed as planned
2. Make sure that training resources, both in terms of training personnel and equipment, meet universal standards
3. Design a curriculum and training environment to cover a wide range of emergencies
4. Design a curriculum that allows training of several levels. Also, officers in Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, civil defense volunteers, as well as rescue volunteers in Bangkok will be provided training and refreshment courses more frequently, so that they are more adaptive and prepared for wider range of emergencies.
