Microsoft Office

Trilingual Schools with Thai and International Curriculums, and Technology for Work

What will Bangkok residents get?

  - Students are equipped with up-to-date skills for the current career trends.

Details

In addition to academic excellence, foreign language and technology skills are also important in order for students to be able to thrive in the career world. In particular, during the age of globalization, job markets are more open. Without language and technology skills, a person may not have access to these job markets.

Regarding the current curriculums, there are bilingual schools in Bangkok. (In 2021, there are 78 bilingual schools: 64 Thai-English schools and 14 Thai-Chinese schools.[1]) Students study the main 5 subjects with teachers who are native speakers, namely, foreign languages, mathematics, science, art, health education, and physical education. However, not every school uses these curriculums. Some students may not have the opportunity to learn another language.

To ensure that every student under the care of BMA can communicate in another language and use technology for work after graduation. BMA will take the following actions.

  1. To develop trilingual curriculums by adding some subjects in the schools' computer centers, such as mathematics, Thai, and English, so that students become familiar with computers, especially basic office applications, such as Microsoft Office.

  2. To apply bilingual and trilingual curriculums in as many schools in Bangkok as possible.
